Specializing in elegant handmade decorations and full-service event coordination, Katie curates each event with care—so you can relax and savor life’s most meaningful moments.

Raised in a U.S. Foreign Service family, Katie spent her childhood living around the world—in South Africa, Ireland, Peru, Russia, and Turkey. From a young age, she attended formal events hosted for diplomats and dignitaries, which sparked a deep appreciation for refined hospitality and seamless coordination. These formative experiences shaped her love for event planning and her discerning eye for detail.

Her journey began with her own wedding in 2009, which she planned from start to finish. Since then, Katie has been the heart behind countless memorable celebrations for friends and family. After years of encouragement, she launched Effortless Gatherings—a boutique planning service devoted to intimate, meaningful events that feel both intentional and easy.
